36
New Key Strokes and Menus

38 New Key Strokes and Menus
39
Many new keyboard shortcuts have been
40 added in Jalview 2.2 to make editing, selecting and navigating an
41 alignment even easier. The selection commands in the Edit
42 menu, and the alignment formatting controls within the View
43 menu have also been moved into their own respective Select
44 and Format menus.

45
Some of the more important new keystrokes are shown below :
47
Page Up and Page Down
48 scrolls through the alignment view.

49
Control I inverts the currently selected
50 sequence set, and Control Alt I will invert the
51 currently selected set of columns.
52
Control V will paste the contents of the
53 clipboard to the current alignment window, and Control
54 Shift V pastes the data to a new window.

55
Control O opens the file browser for loading
56 a new alignment or Jalview archive.

57
Control S saves the alignment with the
58 current filename and format, and Control Shift S opens
59 the Save As... dialog box.

60
Control T creates a new alignment view, and Control
61 W closes the current view, or if none remain, then the whole alignment.

62
Control E will remove gapped columns in the alignment.

63
Control D opens the Remove Redundancy dialog box.
