12 ALSCRIPT provides a powerful set of formatting and editing commands
13 specifically tailored for multiple sequence alignments. It is best
14 used in conjunction with a PostScript previewer such as Sun's
15 PageView or GhostView since this allows the effect of changing a command to be
16 seen quickly. In the absence of such a tool, simpler effects can be
17 tested out without destroying too many trees in the Laser Printer!
19 Like most programs, ALSCRIPT is evolving as I find new problems to display, so
