   7 <p>Jalview can retrieve features from multiple <a href="http://biodas.org/">DAS</a> \r
   8   sources. The DAS sources are selected in the DAS settings panel.</p>\r

  10 <p>On start up of the DAS Settings panel, Jalview will use the registry URL (default \r
  11   is http://das.sanger.ac.uk/registry/das1/sources/) to retrieve a list of currently \r
  12   available DAS sources. These are all listed in the table using the sources' \r
  13   Nickname as an identifier. <br>\r
  14   Click on a Nickname in the table to reveal more information about that service \r
  15   in the panel to the right of the table. \r
  16 <p>You can filter the visible DAS sources by authority, type and &quot;label&quot;. \r
  17   You should read the DAS documentation to understand more about these values.\r
  18 <p>Tick the box &quot;Use Source&quot; so that Jalview will use a particular source \r
  19   when fetching features. \r
  20 <p>You can add your own DAS source to the list by clicking the &quot;Add Local \r
  21   Source&quot; button. Enter the URL and nickname of your additional service. \r
  22   It should be noted that Jalview 2.1 will not query additional sources for more \r
  23   information, but this will be implemented in future editions. \r
