27 <strong>What's new in Jalview 2.10.1 ?</strong>
30 Jalview 2.10.1 was released on 24th November 2016. Full details are
31 in the <a href="releases.html#Jalview.2.10.1">Jalview 2.10.1
32 Release Notes</a>, but the highlights are below. This is also the
33 first release to include contributions from Kira Mourão, who
34 joined Jalview's core development team in October 2016.
37 <li><strong>More memory efficient</strong><br />We've slimmed
38 down the consensus analysis data structures used by Jalview so
39 even wider alignments can be worked with.</li>
40 <li><strong>Select highlighted region</strong><br />Press 'B'
41 or use the new menu option in the alignment window's Select menu
42 to mark columns containing highlighted regions generated from
43 structure selections, mouse-overs, or resulting from a
45 <li><strong>New custom link mechanism for opening URLs
46 for database cross references.</strong><br /> If you have customised URL
47 links in your Jalview preferences, then you may already have seen

55 is no longer considered a non-hydrophobic residue in the protein
56 conservation calculation, and minor bugs addressed in PID and
